John H. Bloomer (September 14, 1930 – January 10, 1995) was a Vermont attorney and politician who served as President of the Vermont State Senate. ==Biography== John Henry Bloomer was born in Rutland on September 14, 1930.〔Vermont Birth Records, 1909-2008, record for John Henry Bloomer, accessed June 12, 2012〕 He served in the Army during the Korean War, entering the service in 1952 and attaining the rank of First Lieutenant before receiving his discharge in 1954.〔(Vermont House of Representatives ), Joint Resolution 7, January 12, 1995〕 Bloomer graduated from the University of Vermont in 1952 and Boston University Law School in 1957.
